September 21st Weekly Prep

There's honestly nothing better than walking into the kitchen Monday morning and seeing those jars of overnight cookie dough oats lined up in the fridge, knowing breakfast is completely handled for the entire week. When you're feeding seven people, having that foundation of prepped meals and snacks ready to go isn't just helpful - it's what keeps our family running smoothly without the constant "what's for breakfast/lunch/snack" questions!

This week's prep session was all about creating those grab-and-go options that actually taste amazing. Those mini chicken pot pies? Pure genius for busy afternoons when everyone's starving and I need something substantial that heats up in minutes. The homemade sandwich bread sitting sliced and ready in the freezer means no more last-minute store runs for decent bread, and honestly, the kids can even taste the difference when you use real ingredients instead of all those preservatives.

And can we talk about how game-changing it is to have washed fruit and hard-boiled eggs just sitting there ready? No more "there's nothing to eat" complaints when there are literally healthy, protein-packed options right at eye level. Even those pizza crackers from my snack stash guide have been disappearing faster than I can make them - which tells me I'm doing something right when the kids are choosing homemade over store-bought!

The best part? Knowing that even when Wednesday hits and everyone's schedules go completely sideways, we've got real food ready to go. No scrambling, no settling for whatever random snacks are left in the pantry, and definitely no hangry meltdowns because someone forgot to eat. Just good food made with better ingredients, ready when we need it.

Those pizza crackers from this week? You'll find that in my snack stash recipe book!
