hello

Hello there sweet friend. My name is Tayler and I am so glad you stopped by. This is where I share my passion for all things cooking and encourage you to take back your kitchen with joy and intentionality.

Thankful Homemaking to me is nourishing those the Lord has entrusted me with, one homemade meal at a time. It is about the warmth of the kitchen where memories are made, the aroma that fills the home, and the hearts gathered around our table. It is creating food that comforts and brings rest to weary souls. It is making homemade cooking simple and attainable, so joy can be found in every meal shared. It is creating a place where the Lord shines the brightest. It is living out my mission field here, in the everyday work of feeding those I love. It is choosing to find the beauty, blessing, and privilege in it all.

A little more about us; I am married to my best friend, Matt. We met our junior year of high school, married at 18, and have been building our lives together every day since. We are currently raising our little ones up on our little homestead and enjoying every minute of this season we are in.

We are parents to identical twin boys who went to be with Jesus a few days after they were born at 28 weeks on December 6, 2015. In the midst of that deep grief, the Lord began working in our hearts in ways we could not have anticipated. Over the years that followed, He blessed us with five beautiful children who keep our days full and our hearts even fuller. Our youngest is deaf, and the Lord has been so gracious in leading us on this journey of learning ASL alongside our son.

Our life has been a beautiful reminder of Gods sovereign hand. How He perfectly prepares and equips us for exactly what He has planned. From the valley of loss to the mountaintops of joy, every chapter has revealed His faithfulness. He has shown us that even in our deepest pain, He is working all things together for good. The gospel reminds us that God gave His own Son so that we might be adopted into His family—and that truth has shaped how we see every gift He has entrusted to us. Every chapter of our story has been woven together in His perfect design, and we are grateful for the beauty He has created through it all.
