September 20th Meal Prep

There's something about September that makes you want to gather everyone back in. The lazy stretch of summer is winding down, the mornings are just starting to carry that first hint of cool, and whether the school books are open on your table or the calendar is simply filling back up, you can feel it: it's time to settle into a rhythm again.

Getting back into routine doesn't have to happen all at once. It doesn't take a flawless Sunday reset or a fridge full of matching containers. Routines come together the way the season does, a little at a time, one small win building on the last. If this whole list feels like a lot, please don't try to do every bit of it. Pick one thing. Bake the biscuits, or boil a dozen eggs, or get that chicken in the crockpot, and let that one thing carry you a little further into the week than you'd have gotten otherwise.

What We're Making This Week-

Egg Bites — My little protein-packed lifesaver for the week. Whip up a tray on Sunday and breakfast is handled for days, whether you're eating one on the way out the door or plating a couple alongside some fruit.

Stuffed Biscuits — Soft, flaky, and hiding a warm savory filling inside, these are the kind of grab-and-go that saves a busy morning. Make a batch at the start of the week and you've got breakfast the kids can hold in one hand or a quick lunch that actually holds them over. Reheat and run, no standing at the stove required.

Boiled Eggs — Never underestimate what a dozen boiled eggs in the fridge will do for your week. They're the first thing I reach for when someone's hungry and I've got no time, sliced onto toast, packed into lunches, or eaten as-is with a little salt. Ten minutes of prep, and easy protein is handled all week long.

Crockpot Chicken Pasta — This is my quiet workhorse lunch. Everything goes in the crockpot, and by the time the busy morning has worn everyone out, a warm, comforting meal is waiting with almost no effort on your part.

Pizza Pockets — Handheld, cheesy, and usually gone before they hit the table. All the flavor of pizza night tucked into a soft little bite the kids can grab and run with. Warm them up for lunch, an after-school snack, or an easy dinner with some veggies on the side. Make a big batch, these don't stick around.

Gummies — A fun little treat I feel good about handing over when everyone's craving something sweet. Chewy, fruity, and made right in your own kitchen, they're proof that a snack can be simple and something the kids actually get excited about. (This one's exclusive to my recipe books or kitchen collective membership!)

Sandwich Bread — Soft, sliceable, and the backbone of an easy week. Two loaves at the start of the week means lunches are already halfway done, whether it's a simple sandwich, a slice of morning toast, or the perfect catch-all for that egg salad. Homemade bread on the counter just makes the whole week feel a little more put together.
