November 8th Meal Prep

Holiday season is almost here, and with it come fuller calendars, more get-togethers, and weeks that seem to go by twice as fast. That’s why a little time in the kitchen on Sunday matters so much this time of year. It lets us head into busy days already prepared, so we can be present with the people around our table instead of scrambling at 5 o’clock.

This week I’m making homemade Pop Tarts, breakfast burritos for the freezer, bang bang chicken bowls, cheeseburger sliders on homemade slider buns, s’mores granola bars, and a fresh batch of sandwich bread. It’s a good mix of grab-and-go breakfasts, easy lunches, and snacks the kids will actually reach for. It doesn’t have to be perfect. A few prepped meals can carry your family through a full week. Let’s set ourselves up for a peaceful, well-fed holiday season!

What We're Making This Week-

Homemade Pop Tarts: A fun breakfast and snack the kids get so excited about. I make a big batch, let them cool, and stack them in the freezer so anyone can pop one in the toaster on a busy morning. They feel like a special treat, and I love knowing exactly what went into them. (This one’s exclusive to my recipe books or Kitchen Collective membership!)

Breakfast Burritos: These are my secret weapon for holiday-season mornings. I roll up a big batch with eggs, sausage, and cheese, wrap them individually, and freeze them. On a rushed morning you just grab one, warm it up, and everyone’s out the door full and happy.

Bang Bang Chicken Bowls: A little sweet, a little spicy, and always a crowd favorite. I cook the chicken and rice ahead of time so dinner just means warming everything up, drizzling on the sauce, and adding whatever veggies you have. It feels like takeout without the takeout price.

Cheeseburger Sliders: All the flavor of a cheeseburger in a size that’s easy to serve a crowd. They’re great for a busy weeknight dinner, and they’d be just as perfect for a holiday get-together or game night. I bake them on homemade slider buns, which make them extra special. (The slider buns are exclusive to my recipe books or Kitchen Collective membership!)

S’mores Granola Bars: Chocolate, marshmallow, and graham flavor packed into a chewy, grab-and-go bar. They’re perfect for lunchboxes, a snack between school lessons, or tucking in your bag while running holiday errands. These disappear fast in our house. (This one’s exclusive to my recipe books or Kitchen Collective membership!)

Sandwich Bread: The loaf that shows up on this list every single week. A couple of fresh loaves cover sandwiches, toast, and grilled cheese for days, and it’s so much more budget-friendly than buying bread for a big family. With busy weeks ahead, it’s one less thing to add to the grocery list.
