Can you believe we're already heading into the Fourth of July week? Summer always seems to fly by, and between cookouts, fireworks, family gatherings, and all the extra fun, having dinner already planned can be such a gift. This week's menu is full of easy family favorites, plenty of homemade goodness, and a few shortcuts if you need them.
If you're new here, welcome! Every Saturday I share our family's dinner plan along with a complete grocery list and prep tips to help make the week ahead feel a little less overwhelming. My goal is simple: one shopping trip, one plan, and a whole week of knowing what's for dinner.
This week's lineup is packed with summertime comfort food. We'll kick things off with tender BBQ shredded chicken sandwiches piled onto homemade buns with crispy oven fries, followed by taco night with homemade tortillas and creamy queso. Midweek brings a creamy Italian Crockpot Pasta with fresh French bread, then a classic meatloaf dinner with mashed potatoes and buttery crescent rolls. Friday, as always, is homemade pizza night, Saturday we're firing up smash burgers for the 4th, and Sunday is reserved for leftovers or grabbing dinner out so everyone gets a little break. I'll also share a few make-ahead ideas below to help your week run even smoother.
