10/19-10/25 On the Menu

It feels like we’re settling even deeper into fall this week. The mornings are cooler, the trees are changing a little more each day, and the holidays don’t feel quite so far away anymore. This is the part of the season I really love. The in-between weeks before all of the holiday busyness begins, when there’s still time to enjoy ordinary evenings at home, warm dinners around the table, and the slower rhythm that fall seems to invite.
One little homemaking tip for this time of year: use these quieter weeks to prepare your home for the season ahead in small ways. Pick one cabinet to organize while dinner simmers, add an extra loaf of bread or batch of soup to the freezer, or start stocking up on the pantry staples you know you’ll use during the holidays. It doesn’t have to be a huge “fall reset.” A few small things done now can make home feel calmer when November and December arrive. This week’s meals are keeping with that same idea. Cozy, comforting dinners with plenty that can be prepped ahead so there’s a little more room to simply enjoy the season.
Here is your weekly menu, tips for prepping ahead, and grocery list!
Monday | Sheet pan steak + veggies |
Tuesday | Turkey ricotta meatballs + noodles |
Wednesday | Cheddar ranch chicken, broccoli, roasted potatoes |
Thursday | chicken crockpot pasta + french bread |
Friday | Homemade Pizzas |
Saturday | Left Overs / Restaraunt Night |
Sunday | Chicken tortilla soup + Artisan bread |
If you're new here:
Fridays are our pizza and movie nights! We don't have a TV in our home, so every friday we set up the projector and make pizzas!
Saturdays are "Restaurant Nights"! I create a cute little menu with all our leftovers, and the kids get to "order" what they want! It makes cleaning out the fridge feel like a special event instead of a lame leftover dinner. We do that every Saturday to empty out the fridge for grocery day on Sunday! It also helps ensure Mama gets a REST on Saturdays and I don't have to actually cook dinner!
